anyone else with back pain?

If so, what kind is it?
Only when you flare? Or during more bouts of pain?

Mine is more achy at times and Stiff. Lower back to be exact.

debilitated, i see you are ssdi, and your 22 years old, was it hard for you to get on? I applied march 3rd, I'm on SDI right now and my gi and dr have agreed with me on getting ssdi, I'm 59  and just can't seem to work in a situation where bathroom is difficult or I can't lay down wheN I have gas cramps or bouts of hypoglycemia due to dumping syndrome, from 9ft of small bowel removed, how many appeals did you go thru or were you accepted right away?

and yes when my stomach is flareing, it goes thru to my back. way worse when my cd was in blockage mode, before my resections

Not to hijack your post, debilitated, but I'm really interested in hearing answers for this, too. I've had horrible right flank pain for the past few days, and my internist's PA was convinced it was either a kidney stone or a continuation/worsening of last week's UTI. Alas, no stone showed up on the CT, and the urinalysis was clear. So they have no clue what's going on.

I had the same kind of side pain when i first started imuran, and was tested for kidney stone but urine was clear, i drank plenty of electrolite fluids but the pain was relentless, gi took me off of imuran and it went away, he wants to start me on remicade, but now just pred, i've started lower dose of imuran again but at 100mg x1 a day, and gi said give it 1 month only if reocurs stop, but i have cd in my esophogus and throat, mouth and leasions on my tongue. but debilitate what is albumin?

when you say under weight what are you talking, because if you are under a certain weight with cd it is a big factor on recieving ssdi. I'm hoping because of my age and so long with cd that I'll only have to go thru one appeal, but my dr's are on the same page as Iam so that is a plus, I really like the part time work program they have as well, because I can do my art work because it is at my own pace, and when i feel like crap i don't have to work or if I'm in my shop creating and have to stop and go d i can go immediatly, or gas cramp i can lay down. I've been contacted by a few lawyers, but I'm waiting for first denial

I am currently in remission, but always suffer with alot of joint pain. Sometimes it is caused when you are flaring, and sometimes it can be Fibromyalgia or Arthritis. Alot of us with Crohns suffer with some type of joint pain. Some even have Ankolysing Spondylitis along with their Crohns. I have Fibro and Osteoarthritis along with my Crohns. Thats why I have to take pain killers daily in order to be able to function. In fact, I will be seeing an orthopedic surgeon at the end of this month, as I need both knees replaced. So one this year, and probably the other next year.

After my second resection my back would hurt so bad I could hardly walk. When i described it to my GI which had already said anko spondy he determined they had my adrenal glands messed up from all the prednisone. So after another round of pred and a taper off my back got back to just hurting. So to answer your question keep talking to your doctor. IT could be anthing and everything.
