severe leg pains HAVE U GOT IT TO??

HI ALL

ive been having constant leg pains for the past 2 months my gp tells me its related to the crohns and says theres nothing he can do.....

has anybody else had the same problem. the pain is so bad i feel numb and feel like i cant walk.....

diagnosed with crohns since 2003

previous med. pentasa imuran prednisone remicade and many more :) all didnt work

now on humira

trying to fall pregnant (fingers crossed)

I have the same side effect from cimzia. It can range from being a nuisance. To unbearable

numbness can be a potassium deficiency (so are muscle cramps)...have they done labs for it? It is an easy IV to take:)

I agree that there is some blood work, ANA, and vit def needs to be checked, but in the meantime I find that heat helps.

Where is the pain? When I get too anemic my thighs burn constantly. I typically sit on a heating pad. Getting iron infusions stopped the pain... Maybe something to check into. It's been more than once that I've had the pain and the iron infusions have helped... Good luck!

I get cramps in my feet. I walk abnormal like I'm crippled and my hips hurt. Heat is the only thing that helps but it doesn't help with my walking. I am thinking of asking my GI dr about it. Right now I am seeing a Bone & Joint for my knee & hips but.... That is a dead end. So I do believe it is crohns related. I have been taking my meds for just a few days & my knees & hip actually feel better. IDK.. but the feeling of your crippling is not fun so any help from any dr is good by me

I got severe leg pain after prednisone. Still have it, pretty bad..... Its been 10 months now and I've seen two rheumatologists. We all agree its somehow related to the crohns but don't know how to control it. My BMs are pretty much under control. But I still have SEVERE leg pain. To the point of not being able to walk or stop crying without pain meds at times. Its very frustrating. Its like I've traded one problem for another. I've tried sulfasalizine, but was not able to tolerate it GI wise. Also tried neurontin and lyrica but they didn't work. Also, we don't know if the Remicade is making it worse or not, haven't been able to make the connection. Let me know if you find something that helps you. I'm getting pretty desparate.

Prayer247 what meds were you given for the leg pain?
