How to find the exact cost of Remicade in America, Canada

I need this information for my paper... thanks...

Maybe some of you can tell me how much you spent????

The center I receive Remicade through charges $5,320.00 for the drug itself. I'm in the United States.
The total cost billed to my insurance is $5,749.00, which includes premedications (Tylenol & Benadryl) and administration.

I'm responsible for 20% of the total cost.

I am in Northern Canada and I have Blue Cross for health coverage and I was very upset as one time last year I had to pay like $$3200 for my 3 vial dose as the health care agency I am with did not get my GI's letter on time. So we tried to back date the letter and I still did not get it covered so I went thru a "sister company" of BioAdvance called Innomar Strategies Inc. to get reimbursement. I had to go thru a bunch of paper work but in the end after a long wait I did receieve partial reimbursement of aprox. $600 which almost wasn't really worth it but at least I did get some money back.
It was not the doctors fault, Blue Cross makes it very difficult and I do not recommend them. The only reason why I am with them is cause I have no company / employer health benefits at this time.
It greatly depends on how many vials you are diagnosed, measured by your weight, and the pharmacy where you buy the drug from.
Usually it is the same price - VERY EXPENSIVE - no matter where you buy it from.
With coverage I pay $25 and without coverage it is usually in the $3000 mark.

i just started mon. the guy at registration said the med cost was $5,000 and then there was the cost at the hospital etc...I'd imagine it's going to be about $7,000 or so...we'll see when i get the bill haha. i think i have to pay 10% up to $2,500 max per year. whatever- i'd pay anything if it works!! keeping my fingers crossed!!!
