Oh gosh! What an ordeal! I am so glad it was fixable though. I'm glad it wasn't kidney stones, or a crohn's flare, and that hopefully this surgery will mean the mesh will hold everything appropriately.
I am glad you're home! Now, you just have to get better and recover fully from this terrible terrible ordeal. It is so darn hard with crohn's to know what the heck is wrong - you always think it's crohn's, but this just goes to show, that there could be other causes. Every time my husband has something wrong, I suspect the crohn's, but I know I need to give the other possibilities a thought too.
You made a really good call to stay in the hospital rather than go home. I can't believe the ER doc just wanted to send you home with pain meds . . . we really do have to be our own advocates, because sometimes we get pretty crappy advice from physicians.
But I hope this is a story of all's well that ends well.
