I would go to a proctologist immediately. To be honest, I had the exact same feeling when I had my fistula/abcess. I couldn't sit down and it was very sore down there.. I literally laid on my stomach in tears until I could get into the dr. office. My GI told me it may be nothing to worry about but referred me to a procto.... As soon as I went in there and he examined me, he scheduled surgery 2 days later. Good luck; this is not something to play around with!!!

Yeah, I didn't have a boil either. It was a painful throbbing and it hurt worse over the course of the week. I couldn't "feel" or see if anything was there from the outside, it was just tender/sore to the touch and throbbed. Very uncomfortable. I wouldn't risk it and I'd go find a procto tomorrow buddy. All he'll do is put a little camera up the rear and say "yes I can help" or "this is just a pressure sore, you'll be fine." But it seriously sounds like its more than a pressure sore. And to be honest, I bet a lot of us do a "lot of sitting." :-p

i need u all to understand that.... first of all ivy, i love u for saying that. i got myne in the mail today and inflated it. Thing is i need to put a pillow behind it and also where my back brace because im finally getting better with my back and i dont want to have bad posture while sitting on this...

heres the thing... I agree. my skin isnt torn WAT SO EVER, i agree with ivy.. it isnt rough, cracked, or even red. its blackish bluish like i got punched. im very thin yes and i def. think its from sitting a lot.

heres the kicker... i ONLY get this when im on narcotics.. ALWAYS. I noticed every time i start the fentanyl patches.. no joke. and when i take em off for a few days.. and let all the gas and stool out.. (even though i do go 2-3 times a day).. it gets better.. weird right?>

i really think its a build up of fluid.pressure and something.

yes im using the donut i OVERNIGHT shipped.. haha and its allowing me to sit on my poor ***. excuse my french.

the main problem is, i need my pain meds. oral ones give me fevers. or overload.

This sounds all too familiar. It sounds like an infected fistula and possibly an abscess. I have been living with that since mid-December and have just had two surgeries to repair the fistulas and drain the infections. I would NOT mess around with this! I can't begin to tell you how sick I got from my infected fistulas ... nearly hospitalized because the infection made me so ill. And so much pain ... I couldn't sit, walk, stand, or bend over! But I first noticed it when my right cheek was suddenly painful to sit on. Go see a gastroenterologist or try to get yourself referred to a perianal surgeon. My gastro doctor saw the first fistula when he did the colonoscopy on me, but it wasn't infected then. When I saw the surgeon two months later, he couldn't find the fistula in the initial in-office examination. So he scheduled me for an examination under anesthesia (i.e., surgery). In both surgeries, he found the fistula, cleaned out the infection, and cut open a drain. I am still healing, and I still have a little bit of a "baseball". But it is getting smaller by the day, and I can almost sit normally again!

Well heres an update. I took the 25mcg patch off this morning and moved it to 12mcg. Already i am walking better and sitting on my Butt. Its been like this for almost a year.. Everytime i am on fentanyl this happens.. it weird.

my g.p called. said, go to 12.. and gave me a script for a generic Feroicet. i dont know. its weird how this happens. I think its a build up of gas, stool and sluggishness.

... So you think it's related in some way to constipation?

Everyone has very good advice here. Just food for thought. When you have been though all the above situations,multiple times/and sx's what in the heck is next?? This fistula/abcess has gotten to the point of draining feces again. I have not tried for DSSI. I know I am in the danger zone. I really think it is time to return to my bag. All the ostomies agreed,but I know you folks better. I have not made it to one softball practice or T-ball game of my grandkids. Yes, I can take an extra perc and try it,but that is wrong. Help my friends!
