Hi Everyone;

My name is Rita and this site was recommended from another forum that I frequent. I have Crohns and was diagnosed in 1988. I have had 4 resections, 1 bladder repair, 3 abcess surgeries, 1 temp ostomy and reversal..and while through the years I have "met" people with Crohns..there isn't anyone in my real life that has this disease. It will be nice to get current information from people who don't have an agenda and for those who have "been there done that" and just get it!

I am married (20 yrs been together for 23) and we have 2 kids, DD is 7 and I worry about her..she does have bowel concerns, and DS is almost 15, is high functioning autistic and we don't talk about his bowel anymore lol

Anyway, I look forward to getting to know you all!

Hi Rita,
Welcome! I am new to the forum also. Recently dx with CD. You certainly have your hands full with your family, but I bet your kids are your pride and joy! I havent been on any other forum but this one and everyone seems to be extremely thoughtful, kind and full of advise. Its a bit lonely in real life when your the only one that seems to have this disease (I know) but at least here on the forum everyone has it! (and lets face it - they are in real life, you just cant see them)...Welcome again.

Hi Rita,

I also just joined this forum a few days ago and so far I have received excellent responses from the people on here.  I have had Crohn's for about 5 years now and I am still struggling to find remission........while I am lucky to have very supportive people in my life, it is nice to have this forum where everyone can relate.

Hi Rita,

Just wanted to add my welcome to you too.  You will find alot of kind and supportive folks here just trying to live with this darn disease too.  Look forward to hearing more from you.
