I have just discovered what I have been suffering from for years. I go through phases of getting little white/yellow balls of very smelly debris in little pits at the back of my throat. I searched for posts on this site on tonsil stones, but didn't find much. I was wondering whether anyone here has connected flaring to having more tonsil stones.

I have them too. My tonsils didn't become all crypt like until a few years ago. I don't know what made them grow and crevice, because I never had a sore throat. Anyway, most of my years with crohn's were tonsil stone free, so I haven't noticed a connection.

I get them I think. I usually get MORE of them during a flare I've noticed. Maybe its connected to all the post nasal drip going through the digestive system and creating a flare? Who knows...'cause I don't. :-P

I don't get tonsil stones, but my salivary glands get blocked up. I have learned how to unblock them most of the time, but sometimes have to do a round of antibiotics to clear it. Don't know what causes it????

I had my tonsils removed years ago, because they were inflammed all the time.

I've had little blister type pockets in the back of my throat (assuming tonsils) in the past.

I have a big hole in the front of my tonsil, which seems to have three "pathways" that branch off from it. I just bought this metal dental scaler yesterday, and for grins, though I'd see how far one of the pathways went. The metal probe kept going further and further, and surprise, it popped out the back side of my tonsil. How is that for weird? My tonsil seems to have a fistula!
