Just a note...cuz not all docs know...even GI's...NSAIDs, such as Ibuprofen, aspirin, Aleve, etc...should not be given...they can cause more bleeding, and can exacerbate the inflammation that is already there (I included a site that discusses this...as do other threads on this site too...

As to the pain you feel...I can only hope, and say, that for many it does eventually go away. For those with persistent pain, many, like myself, find that going to a Pain Specialist Doc is the best choice as many Primary Care and GI docs tend to be leary about
rx'ing pain meds (usually cuz of DEA laws, etc and this is also not their primary specialty)...pain docs, good ones, will document correctly, know the best type of med for a given condition...
