fistula :((

  hey hey all you girls with fistulas!! Im new to this web sight and i already LOVE it!!! ok so here is my problem...... im 14 years old with a fistula. To even make it worse i cant tell my mom about this, but i can post this on the internet... weird!!! according to reasurch my condision is a fistula, i think. So when i go to the bathroom i noticed that i pee out of a diffrent hole than the normal one... sorry about the details.  when im older (like in the 20's) i would like to have children, but i have no clue if that is posible with a fistula.  really need to get some support on this and some other point of views in what i should do about this... i dont know if i am just freaking out about this to much or if it is supper serious.... thanks

David is right Korrinn, fistulas are serious and require medical attention, and you can go to a Dr on your own if you are frightened of telling your mother. Try and get into a female doctor if you are worried about a male looking ‘down there’

I had a peri-anal fistula and abscess and it was not fun.

You really need to tell your mom asap so she can bring you to the doctor. I am not sure if you think she will think you are sexually active but a fistula has nothing to do with that. Do you have Crohn's disease? You are only 14 years old and your mom really needs to know that you have to see the doctor because if it is a fistula you should find out and get help asap. Don't be scared or embaressed to tell anyone but DO make sure you do tell someone and get to the doctor. Please let us know how everything goes. Good Luck

If you are peeing out of a different hole, that is not a good thing. Please! Tell your mom and get to a doctor immediately!

To answer your question about pregnancy and a fistula, I had no problem conceiving or carrying to term with a fistula. I did have to have a C-section though because the Dr. was afraid that if I delivered vaginally, the baby might tear through the fistula causing severe internal infection.
