Humira Syringe

So I had a post about Humira hurting more each time.
Well I followed the advise I got there and asked my doc if I could try the syringe instead of the pen.

And boy am I glad I did that !!

It took longer about 2 minutes instead of 2 seconds but it did not hurt one bit and as soon as I stated to feel a little tingle I stopped for 3 sec and then continued.

Now 10 hours later I don't have a bruise like I got after the pen :)

Its not harder to using the syringe. I was a little afraid stabbing the needle into my tubby so the nurse helped me a little bit but once the needle was inside it did not hurt.

So if you are having bad pains with the Humira pen I would suggest trying the syringe..

Glad it is working for you. I know what you mean about the pen hurting more each time I use it. I also get a bruise at the injection site. Maybe I should switch.

Well it does not hurt to try the syringe.

My nurse was actually rather stunned when they decided to switch over to the pens, instead of heaving the drug begin injected in maybe 2 min it was injected in less then 10 sec.

And the pain is just from the drug itself not the needle.

I've been using the syringe for two years now. Has stung maybe 2 or 3 times. I highly recommend the syringe.
