MAG102886 - so sorry to hear about your brother. It's probably of little consolation, but from one proud American, THANK YOU for the sacrifice in your immediate family. My CD kept me out of the military though I signed up and tried going to get to basic. Our soldiers deserve so much more credit and honor than they receive.

Amen! They have sacrificed everything for us because freedom has never been free.

My family has lost many men since WWII and my father was wounded in the Pacific Theater. He lived the rest of his life with disability but never complained. I am humbled by those like him.

My Pastor and his wife were delayed in the Dallas Airport this spring and he shared this story on Sunday as part of the Memorial service. In the Dallas Fort Worth Airport an individual started clapping. This clapping was continuous which gradually increased while all activity and talking ceased. Soon the whole airport was silent save for the continual clapping of each person in the airport. Employees, travelers, families all joined in the clapping. This couple migrated to the noise only to see large numbers of military troops returning from combat. As they walked through the airport surrounded by people clapping in honor of their return. The returning military members were stunned into disbelief at this spontaneous and generous outpouring of love and support.

To each person who put their lives on hold to serve our country, thank you, you are awesome!
