Prednisone side effects and weird cyst-growth

So, I'm down to 30mg of Prednisone a day (half in the morning, half in the evening) from 40 mg; reducing by 5 mg each week. I've started to notice something that I didn't previously. My heart rate is very elevated. Resting heart rate is currently between 100-110bpm. My normal resting heart rate is around 85. I was wondering if other people experienced elevated heart rates on Prednisone. Also, I'm in a lot of pain lately even though I'm now having regular, soft stools. Could that increase my heart rate? I've been drinking plenty of fluids, both in watered-down Gatorade to watch my electrolytes and just plain water so I doubt I'm dehydrated.

I may just have some odd infection that could be doing it too because I found a weird half-dollar-sized cyst-feeling pocket on the base of my skull. I'm gonna get it checked out tomorrow. Are there any links between CD and any weird cyst-type growths? Its at the base of my skull but not near the spine. Hopefully its just a cyst they can drain. Kinda nervous though. I don't like any growths on my body, especially not large ones.
