Crohns is back :(

HI new to the website, but not new to crohns. Was diagnosed in 91. I have had approx. 15 surgeries. Lost count a long time ago. I have had an ileostomy for about 8 years. Lost all of my large
intestines and in all these years they never found a trace in my small til now. Here we go again. Has anyone had this happen to them. My small has always been clear for all these years. What triggers it all of a sudden? Does your body go into a kind of remission and then all of a sudden, it's back?? Started a drug new to me pentasa. Also back on prednisone. No stranger to that unfortunately! I have been on asacol, humira, immuran, prednisone. Sure there's been more, just cannot remember all of them. Take care!

crohnielass, Thank you! I thought I was safe from it, but finding out differently. They say preventative drugs are the most important thing for us now. I hope you keep fighting to be put on something. I have a great surgeon who monitors me closely and he has put me on steroids for a short while, and is keeping me on pentasa. I have been hearing a lot of great things about that drug. Read into it and talk to your Dr. about it. If you do not have great ins., the makers of Pentasa have a program where you could possibly get it for free. It is Shire US inc. I really appreciate your comment and best of luck to you.
