for me I can't take it as it makes me literally feel as if I am going insane - for some reason it affects my hormonal make-up and just messes with my mind.
I tried it many times over 2 years with always the same result - so the GI stopped it we moved on to Methotrexate with awesome results :)

Me. It caused me 2 develop liver problems, side effects of this were itching, lack of appetite, vomiting, jaundice and flu like symptoms. All went a week or so after coming off

Took it for a long time, but eventually it started to make my liver function tests go bad (higher and higher) so I had to go off it.
I was transferred to methotrexate after a while.

Couldn't take it because it caused constant nausea. I tried to stay on it to see if it would get better, but it didn't.

turned out it was the IMURAN that was making me feel WORSE while I was flaring up. It just beat me down and made me feel even more lousy than I do when I'm already sick. My doc finally said to get off the Immuran and lets see how you feel. turned out, I felt better. (but the Crohn's still persisted.)

They had to stop it because my liver function tests were elevated. I really did feel awful, like I was being poisoned
