Post Surgery

So on June 3rd I had my small bowel resection along with getting my appendix out. I was only in the hospital for three days because I was doing so well. After about 4 days of being home I had pain again. Not Crohns pain but a pain I had never felt before and didnt know how to handle. So I was back in the ER and after many different scans the radiologist told me I had an absess the size of a softball. They immediately drained it and pulled out 500 mls of infection and over the next week with the drain in another 400 mls. Ive had so much pain since the infection im second guessing my decision for surgery. :( I just want to be pain free!

I went through the exact same thing last year...First surgery on June 18, 2009. Had to have a second surgery April 1, 2010 to fix the first surgery. The good news is I feel great now!!! Hope you feel better soon. If you are still in pain call your surgeon--you may have another abscess.
