I know she was having a really hard time after her surgery. Has anyone been in touch with her. Its not like her to be away for so long. Just hoping that its "normal" recovery stuff and there aren't any setbacks.
Just worried.

There has been another mod in contact with Nanners and when Nanners feels better I am sure she will be back on.

I'm pleased to hear this. I was looking for her last week and didn't get a response so it's
nice to know someone is keeping an eye on her.

Hello all,
First off thank you for your concern for me. On Sunday, July 18th I had to be readmitted to the hospital. I had become extremely weak and dehydrated and couldn't keep anything down. It was so bad I had to call 911 to take me to the hospital. In the ER they found I had a moderate amount of blood in my urine (which I later found out was a side effect of the surgery), my WBC were elevated and I had some inflammation in my left colon. The put me back on IV pain meds and nausea meds. I was just getting IV fluids for a few days, as I still could not hold anything down. I was feeling somewhat better on Thursday and was back to trying foods and everything seemed to be going better. I fell asleep at about
3 pm and then I woke up at 6pm and started throwing up really bad again, so it was back to square one. They slowly started adding in a clear liquid diet, then full liquid diet, until Sunday they tried the low residue diet again. I get a little crampy after I eat, but I am able to hold it down, and am no longer having so much diarrhea afterwards. I was finally discharged yesterday, after 8 days in the hospital. I am EXTREMELY weak, and I am sure its gonna take awhile to build up my strength again. But it is nice to be home in my own bed again.
On a good note, I became a grandmother for the 6th time yesterday. She was delivered 3 weeks early because Mom had preeclampsia. Her name is Bailey and she weighed in at 7 lbs 7 oz and 19 inches long. She is in the NICU right now because she swallowed some fluids, but is improving hourly.
I will be a little scare for a few more days, as I build up my strength again. But it is good to be back.
Love to you all,
Gail

Congrats on the new addition! I am so sorry you've had such a rough time recovering. It sounds like your crohn's is also acting up which is making your recovery even more traumatic. (((Hugs))). Hopefully you're on your way this time to getting back to normal. I sure hope so. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. You've been in my thoughts a lot.
Take care Gail. I'm hoping you're on the right track now and you'll catch a speedy train to normalcy.
(((Hugs)))

I was worried about
you, but I'm glad you are on the road to feeling better, AGAIN!!!! Try to stay on it this time. No more side trips.
And congrats on the new addition. Babies are the best medicine, and since you really shouldn't be doing anything but relaxing and babies don't do anything, its a natural fit. I see lots of snuggling in your future.

Nanners: Congratulations! I'm sorry that you have been through such a rough patch. Is the ortho surgery still on the books? Did the surgery go as planned -as in laprascopically, and how is the kidney? You always have such kind things to say to people and so you were missed a bunch, glad you are on the mend!

Thanks again for all your care and concern. Did okay yesterday, I am finding that I have to eat a little something every few hours. I can't believe how tired and weak I am. I know it will take time, but I wish I could feel a little stronger. I need to just have a little more patience, one thing I am not very good at. Haha...
