No GI has suggested my daughter do yearly colonoscopies. She had a colonoscopy done Spring 2009 (three years since the first one) because a SBFT showed a suspicious area which needed to be checked out visually and biopsied. Turned out to be some ulceration in the TI.
Now, we are considering a colonoscopy to check how well (or not) LDN/diet are working. She has no symptoms, and the CRP has gone down somewhat (from 2.4 to 1.2) since she has been on the strict version of the SCD diet combined with LDN. But we have already learned, based on past experience, that this does not mean remission for her...only a colonoscopy can tell us, for sure.
