Hi and welcome. I have crohns in the mouth and throat and sometimes have to have a balloon inflated in my throat to stretch the scar tissue . Check with your doc ...There is a mouth wash that helps kill the pain. They call it magic mouthwash...

Hi Gobbler welcome and yes like sniper said u can get crohn's in your throat u can get it anywhere form mouth 2 anus sounds delightful don't it lol...Get it checked out with your doc I posted something a while back about pain in my mouth and tongue and got a lot of really good advise u can also look that up just look under my name onthecan or check back in old posts just add your responses here ok instead of bringing old post back out so there is room 4 new ones...GOOD LUCK LET US KNOW WHEN U FIND OUT WHAT IS GOING ON WITH U THIS IS A GREAT SITE U FOUND HERE WELCOME AGAIN... ~Jen~

Welcome, gobbler!  The hoarseness sounds like acid reflux to me...I have that problem when I talk at work a lot in one day and I mentioned it to my endocrinologist to see if it was my thyroid and she wanted to send me to an ENT.  Then I asked my GI and he said it's acid refux and he has the same problem on days he does dictation all day...he can barely talk the next day.  Your GI may need to try you on something other than Prevacid.  I have to switch my meds up every year or so, as they stop working after a while.
