I had a colonoscopy this morning and the GI found that my Chrohn's was active in the same area I had surgery on two years ago. I have had many colonscopies to date and have never experienced any pain afterward. However, I started to get cramps shortly after I arrived home and it gradually got much more painful as the day went on. I called my GI and he said that the pain may just be from the exam and he wasn't concerned, since it went very smoothly. He prescribed bentyl which I took and didn't really notice much of a difference in the pain. Luckily I have some percocet left from a previous prescript
ion, and I took one hoping to get a good night's sleep.
Although I do have pain on and off, it hasn't been this bad for quite a while. Hope this isn't the start of another terrible flare. Has anyone had this experience? Thanks in advance for any responses.
