OT Canoe Camping

My Husband and older Daughter are off canoe camping for 3 days and 2 nights with extended family. My other daughter and I are staying home since we aren't big fans of canoe camping, camping is fine and we like that, but throw in the canoe part and its not for us.

This morning, as my Husband was getting ready, he said "I just have to pack the firewood, shower and go poop and I'm good til I get home." To which I replied. "That sentence right there is why I don't canoe camp."

Of course our daughter heard this exchange. We had to agree that the two of us were not cut out for such things as camping on the side of a river with no facilities. We need the bare minimum of running water and flush toilets. Tomorrow while they are enjoying nature, I think we will go get pedicures.

We used to go camping alot when I was with my exhusband. I loved it back then and always thought of it like a mini vacation. I even went camping when we didn't have facilities. But now that I have had my resections, thats out of the picture now. I could still go camping, but only where they had bathrooms, but current husband isn't into camping, so we never go.

But still hope you enjoy your pedicures. Thats what I think I will do for myself tomorrow. I deserve it, and quite honestly my feet haven't been pampered since my surgery. Eek!! Hugs!
