I'm seeing the surgeon on Tuesday to plan my 2nd resection..I'm also having alot of pain and blood from the anal area, so my Gastro Dr. advised me to also talk to a anal surgeon specialist in the same practice. I'm worried about
doing this for many reasons.
First do they do 2 surgery's like that at one time?
Next, if they do anal surgery (my Dr. thinks I might have a fissure) ...Do they have to do a Colostomy bag, to let the area heal?
That freaks me out really bad...
Thanks for information...

I wouldn't start freaking out just yet, BlueMoon. Sometimes surgeons can treat fissures with a simple botox injection - amazing, but true.
My advice would be to go to the surgeon's appointment and see what s/he has to say. Yes, they sometimes give patients a bag to allow the painful area to heal, but that doesn't automatically mean it will happen to you. And there may be other options they can explore before that.
Seriously, I reckon freak out *after* the appointment, rather than before. You may well find that you don't need to freak out at all, and if you panic now you'll have wasted all that emotional energy (and probably exacerbated your gut symptoms) all for nothing.
A big hug to you.
Ivy.

That's good to hear, BlueMoon.
Will you stay in touch, and let us know what the surgeon says?
