It was a pretty heavy fall, actually. I'm covered in cuts and bruises now, and am having a pretty strong physical and emotional reaction today. I really just want to be three years old and crawl into someone's lap and be cuddled better
. However, I went outside this morning and saw where I fell and inspected the damage I did, and realise I was very lucky not to have broken something, or to have been impaled on a garden stake (I obviously fell sideways across two, and narrowly avoided landing on top of the third). And all this from investigating a cat fight...
I do have to be admitted to hospital, but just for tests. I live in a regional area, and the big city hospital (which administers my Humira, because the doctors here aren't permitted to prescribe it) prefer to do MRIs, scopes, etc, themselves... possibly so they have scientific "control" if they ever want to publish about
their patients? Besides, we don't have all the high-tech gizmos out here, so it's better to have things done in the city. If I lived in the city, they'd just be done like normal outpatient tests, but because I'm from the country I just stay in for a night or two and get them all done at once. Anyway, I wrote, and they told me that I'm still on the waiting list, so am safe at home for another week or two at least.
I'm so sorry about
your fungal infection. It's incredibly frustrating, isn't it, to treat one problem only to have yet another and another emerge... And fungal infections are one of those things that can make you feel truly unattractive and revolting, aren't they? I hope your doctor responds quickly so you can get on top of it quickly.
NCOT, I'm so, so, sorry that things are difficult for you just now. I'm sending lots of good thoughts your way, and hope that this run of bad days will soon be replaced by a run of really good ones.
Ivy.
