Ugh...

So I am getting married on 10/10/10 and got an early wedding present on saturday. A nice case of the shingles!!!! the good news is its not on my face. The bad news is it came from my sacral nerve. Hope no one minds if I have to use a doughnut to sit down at my table.

Haha, I am trying to keep my chin up with this. I caught it early and I seem to be getting a little better day by day.

I got married last May, a month after being hospitalized for a severe flare. I was on prednisone and spending most of my days lying on the sofa. It made me have to have a very minimalist approach to the wedding, and I had to let go of a lot of my OCD behaviors regarding the plans. Listen to your body and focus on the most important thing - that you are marrying a wonderful person in front of the special people in your life. Enjoy the day and don't worry about how you look, even if the shingles get to your face. Everyone looks fantastic on their wedding day because they are filled with love and happiness. Congratulations and I love the date choice!!
