Resection Incision issues

Hi everyone.  Short version:  Had a resection done 6-7 weeks ago, my incision has closed up, except for a small hole in the middle of the incision.  Keeps producing a lot of output.  CT scan showed a small abscess.  Doc said thats the reason the incision won't close and the quantity of discharge.  On Flagyl and Cippro to take care of the abscess.  Oral medications have never really done well for me.  Thinking about asking my doctor to put me in the hospital to pump me up with iv antibiotics, so I can heal quicker and get back on my Humira.  Anyone experience same issues?

After my last resection I had recurrant infections of my wound both in hospital and after I was discharged resulting in sepis and I had to be pumped full of iv antibiotics, there was a small part that just would not close. The infections left me feeling worse than the surgeries but luckily the iv antibiotics fixed me quickly, I don't really think Cipro and Flagyl taken orally would have helped (I have taken Cipro and Flagyl to control bowel bacteria - with no real result).
