Wifes surgery

 Her surgery went well. I'm keeping her knocked out with pain meds right now but she feels pretty good when awake. Sure is easyer to be the patient in my opinion . I feel sorta useless, but I am doing all the things the doc told me to do . She will not be able to walk for at least 5 days so I am making sure she gets plenty of sleep. That way the hours go by quickly for her and I wont let her have any pain if I can help it . She seems to be doing OK with the food I prepare too so maybe I haven't lost my touch with a frying pan.  You guys hang in there as I cant offer too much of my silly advice for now. Hope you all are doing as well as can be expected or better. My old gut has played a few tricks on me but not too bad considering the stress. Now its a little better because I have her home .

Sniper sending healing prayers Cami's way. I know she will be fine, she has one of the best caregivers around. You take good care of your girl now, we will talk to you when she is better. Big hugs to you both!

I hope things continue well for her. Sounds like she is being well taken care of by you, Sniper. I agree though, that it's far easier being the patient than standing by someone you love not being able to take their pain away.

Keep doing what you're doing, and don't forget to take care of yourself as well.

good news james.... i know what you mean about the sleeping. when incarcerated in the big house (hospital) :o), i try to sleep as much as possible to make time go faster.. i knew a guy in germany that tried to sleep 12 hours a day. that way he would only "be" there for a year!

Thanks guys. I guess the question is, does she like my cooking , orrrrrrrr , does she like me cooking ? Little of both I think. Margie , its chicken for now . No gator in the freezer and I'm too old to catch them now. But , snakes are slow ....Hmmmmmm . Nahhhhh, did a roast beef and a turkey breast so I have lots of quick stuff on hand. Lamb, when she starts feeling better i will have to put too much salt in something so she wants to throw me out of the kitchen again. Too many cooks ruin the sause any way , and Im losing weight. Odd , when you cook , your not as hungry . Thanks for the prayers an well wish's too. Means a lot to us. Doc is going to change the dressing today so we will see how all is doing under the bandage but I think we are OK. No bleeding or fever or pain to speak of . Hope you guys are doing OK too...
