I live in the uk and seem to be having major trouble getting questran.
I have a repeat prescript
ion but, every chemist I go to haven't got any. Is anyone else having problems getting it? Bev x

Hi Crohnielass,
I am in Ireland and i'm having terrible trouble getting Questran and lately Lomotil has been hard to get also. I cannot eat a thing without my sachet of Questran everyday and my pharmacy are aware how dependent i am on Questran. Yet they don't even phone me to warn me that it's not going to be in stock. Very annoying. They keep saying something about
it being related to a change of packaging or something silly like that.
Would love to know the real reason for the lack of Questran lately though. If you find out - you might inform us Questran users here!!
Thanks,
Lila

Oh Crohnielass, i have just noticed that you take VSL3. Can i ask whether you were able to get a prescript
ion for that or did you have to buy it over the internet. I am getting so tired of my GP and my Gastro telling me they've never heard of it. It mustn't make any profit for the Pharmaceutical companies - that's the only reason i can think of as to why they blank me every time i mention it.
Pardon my negativity but i am so tired of travelling for hours to the hospital only to be told it's Humira or nothing. I'm looking for a more natural approach, and think i would benefit greatly from VSL3. Well i'd at least like to get the opportunity to try it!!

I am in the UK , My chemist couldnt get Questran Light either but did manage to get a substitute, the box just says cholestramine powder. I think that the questran has been discontinued for some reason :( , it has been like this for some months now, so doubt if it would just be to change of packaging......
