yeah so I gotta ask - for some help and some "i know how you feel'' 's. Anyone else out there have acne and kidney stones?
I really don't know if its worth it...taking this drug...Remicade...the pain from my kidney stones is horrible & the acne I now have makes me look like a pimpled dork. I HATE THIS! confused mad
I really don't know how things are "better" - I have been to my doctor and they won't do anything for my kidney stones...I am waiting to see a dermatologist for the freaking acne that I have had for like 2 months now...it seems all you do is WAIT.... wait and wait for doctors - and then they tell you oh well lets try this...and then that doesn't work so then your back to square one...IT'S SO FRUSTRATING!!!!

The necessary need to VENT has become one of the many reasons for this post...and to feel some 'comfort' among so many of us.
And an SOS sent around the world for anyone who can relate...it doesn't seem so bad if you find someone .... someone that is the same in some way and is going through it to ... with you or not with you but some how a connection is made by words of "comfort" and words of " I know" that makes it all feel a bit better somehow in some small way.

Sorry that you're struggling so much right now. I hope that your kidney stones and acne can be dealt with.

I dont have acne and kidney stones, but the pred. has left me with moon face, facial hair and now I have a gall bladder stone. lol- a different combination but not any less/more fun! ;)

Not sure if that makes you feel any better but know you are NOT alone and that lots of us are here reading and feeling for you and sending you hugs.

Hope you get some relief soon

I can totally relate! I'm 37 and have the acne of a teenager. It started a little after I started the remicade. I have tried everything and I finally went and had a deep cleanse facial and went back on the Differen the dermatologist gave me and it's WORKING! I also bought their all natural moisturizer. I'm going back for more facials till it's gone. I am on my 3rd UTI and 3rd round of antibiotics for this last one. They did a CT and I'm waiting for results to see if it's something more. I really hope you feel better and something helps your skin. Good luck!

Son(17) although not on remicade had massive problems with acne whilst on entecort. He was plastered in it from head to toe.
After a couple of weeks took him to GP who put him on zineryt(topical lotion) That worked really well for him, although it did take several weeks. However he was left with what they call post inflammatory changes-lots of redness(typically looks like scarring) and little 'dents' in the skin. He is now on retin-a gel to peel off the top layers of skin albeit a really low dose. Again some improvement but he is not happy at how long it is taking as I found out from when he raised the issue yesterday. So we are going to go back to Drs and see what else can be done.
The Crohns diagnosis he can cope with, the acne and it's affects are a far bigger issue for him.
