what info woudl you put on a medical ID bracelet?

I am getting ready to get a medical ID bracelet.  besides crohn's, I have severve hyper tension and a heart murmur (aortic reguritation)  I am off and on predisone, plus Remicade, plus take 5 other High blood preasure drugs.

Just confused....do i point them to my wallet? or do I put some info on it?  What have others done?

In my wallet I have a free card that I found online and printed. That has my name, address, PCP Info, ALL medications, allergies, etc. Then on my medical ID bracelet I have Crohn's Disease and Malignant Hyperthermia. So you can put your conditions and medications but you don't have to it really depends what you want. I figured I would just put my conditions and then all my other info I have in my wallet and also in my purse. I used this site www.laurenshope.com for the medical ID bracelet they have all different types if I remember correctly they did have suggestions of what you can put. The site I used for my wallet and purse which was free and I just printed was www.medids.com. But really everyone is different on what they want on their ID bracelet, necklace, etc.

I have been in an emergency situation and they automatically went into my purse they didn't even look at my bracelet. The ER staff noticed my bracelet but the EMTs went into my blackberry and looked under ICE and also looked inside my wallet. I ended up waking up and was able to tell them all the info. But seems as though each EMT, Paramedic are all different as to where they look first.

I only wear one when I am on prednisone. Nothing else that I'm on would warrant a medical ID bracelet (imo)

Not that I need the bracelet with the moon face and buffalo hump!

I have one that says what diseases I have and then to see the wallet card or online ID # to a medical website that stores all my meds/allergies, etc.

I have had EMT's read my bracelet and pull the wallet card to see what it actually lists as I have med allergies.

MY GI had a hissy fit when he found out that I didn't have a Medical bracelet since I have a morphine allergy and I take MTX. Needless to say after that appt. I went home and ordered one :) LOL

I have to admit I have my name and emergency contact info tattooed on me. I have since added my cd.
In my wallet I have my card with meds on it.

If you have been on prednisone within the past year, it needs to be on your medical bracelet.

I just put disease info. I have congenital heart disease too, so I have my name and "heart patient" on the front. Then on the back, I list my actual heart disease and Crohn's disease. I don't list medications because they can change frequently and those bracelets are expensive. I keep an up to date med info card behind my license in my wallet.
