OT: So sad (Update)

The other grandmother of my oldest daughters children has been moved to hospice, and not expected to last too much longer (hours).  She is only 51 years old and has brain cancer.  She has been an amazing and loving mother and grandmother, wife and friend.  My heart is breaking for her husband, my son in law and his siblings, as well as my precious grandbabies.   Her name is Sue Porterfield, and I would ask those of you who pray to please pray for her and her family.  May God ease her pain so she no longer suffers.  May God comfort her family during this difficult time.

They say that "Only the good die young". Unfortunately I have seen this to be true just too often. I don't normally pray but I will right now for your dear family member.

They and you are in my prayers Nanners. May she be at peace and without pain. Know that she will live on in the hearts and minds of those that love her. They are never truly gone as long as we remember them..

Thank you all for your kind words and prayers.  She made it thru the night, but her kidneys are failing and she has a tumor blocking her ability to go to the bathroom.  Please continue to pray for her and for my son in law and grandbabies.  Thanks so much!

Gail This is terrible! She's so young too! Gives perspective to life though and the fact that its way too short. I'm praying for you and your family.

Just lost a cousin in August due to brain cancer. Sorry to hear it is going to take another persons life. I can't wait for the day that there is a cure for cancer. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and the family.

Thanks again everyone. Last update I heard was lastnight and they said she is pretty much in and out of consciousiousness at this point. I just don't want her to suffer, she has been thru so much already.

Please keep praying that God will ease her suffering and keep her as pain free as possible. My heart hurts so much for my grandbabies, they were SO close to her.

So sorry to hear about this.  Such a sad situation and to be that young.  Many prayers are going out to the entire family and to this precious woman so that she may not suffer any longer.

Sad to report that my friend and fellow grandma, Susan Porterfield, passed away early this morning.

My heart is breaking not only for my grandbabies, as they loved her so, but for my former son-in-law and his family. She will be greatly missed.

Please keep them in your prayers.
