Here's what I'd like for my vision of the future for my husband and me:
- Manageable disease - without complications, and without surgeries. Just take your meds, and deal with some discomfort, but nothing too serious or too painful
- Continue working, and finish paying off our house and put money away for retirement
- No autoimmune cascase - like MS or RA. Don't need another one to watch out for.
- My husband's family is prone to heart disease - it would be nice if he could avoid that
- Be able to enjoy the weather outside when it is nice, maybe take short hikes in the spring and fall
- Not have to wake up at night to go potty, or have to wear diapers
- Spend time with our nieces and enjoy family visits
- Enjoy time together - pick up some restful hobbies - like painting (which my husband does really well at), and other things we can enjoy without expending too much energy
- Make enough money that the tough chores around the house (all the maintenance stuff), can be contracted to a handy man.
I hope that isn't too much to ask for. I don't have any great ambitions - just want to live life without too much pain. That's what I'd like for the future.
