Had my booster infusion friday...halfway during the infusion, i developed a burning sensation in my arm that the iv was in. The nurse joked that I have princess veins since I am always having difficulty. Late last night, I had a painful lump in that same arm, and still today I have a lump.. not as painful but still tender to touch.
Any insights...

Use hot compresses on the lump. If it is still there Monday stop in to the infusion center and have them take a look at it.

Ok thank you so much.. putting heat on now..had a bad winter storm here last night in Iowa... was offline.
my cost of remicade is amazing... my dr bills it as an office visit so its just a copay.

The heat did do the trick....still lumpy and sore but feels much better... I will continue the heat...I am blowing veins all the time...they do picc lines when I am hospitalized.. thank you so much.
my infusion is done in a cancer care center, but billed as a dr visit..I think alot depends on how your dr writes up the orders...i hope it works out for you.
