I'm about
to try my very first avocado.
Are they okay to eat with a stricture?

They have almost no residue and are very nutritious.
They also taste divine. A little sea salt, a spoon, an avocado...heaven

How could they be bad for a stricture? They are really soft, so I would think you should be okay.

They mash well...give it a try but maybe start with a few bites and if it goes okay finish it off!!!
but maybe you've already eaten it by now!

Roni,
Hmmm, I cut it in half, and then use a spoon, and eat...or you use a spoon to scoop it out into another container and then mush it up...but you can do this in your mouth...I ate them all the time like this as a child, but then again,I'm a latina who grew up in Arizona, so this was one of the first food I ate...
And some people sprinkle salt on the cut half...me, I don't need the salt...it's good without...
BTW, that reminds me, I need to get some...mmmm...that way I can can get some "green" stuff in my diet...

I put them on burgers instead of mayo or cheese.

I grew up in southern California. I used to ride my horse through the avocado orchards and reach up and pick them right off the tree and peel and eat them while plodding along. They are good on everything or alone. They contain the good for you kind of fats like olive oil. I like to squish them up and spreadt them on a toasted english muffin or bagel. You are in for a treat!

Oh, avocado, how I love you! This was the only thing I really enjoyed during the morning-sickness-time of my 2nd pregnancy. Now I still love them. I usually mash them up with some salt and a little bit of lime or lemon. Chips are great, but if you're worred about
a stricture a spoon is all you need.

like debbikay, I use to ride my horse's thru avocado groves, now I eat them with salt and some olive oil drizzeled over, excellent source of good oils.

I did not like it. I'm going to try some more, but I can't see myself going crazy for it.

avacado - cut in half, sprinkled with lemon juice, a little salt. Or you can slather a small bit of mayo (I know sounds gross but is really good), a little salt and pepper. Good on burgers, chicken or turkey sandwiches. Homemade guacamole - mashed with lemon or lime juice, seeded finely chopped tomato, fresh minced garlic, finely minced jalapeno, minced shallots, a shot or two tabasco, salt and pepper -- HEAVEN!

I like mine plain and sprinkled with red wine vinegar!
