I just read this article on the CCFA website, that says that for people who initially responded to Cimzia but started flaring again after a bit, that a reinduction period (where you get more medication), can lead to remission:

I didn't know that this was established procedure with studies behind it. I hope this is helpful to someone.

My doc did that for me...and then they found out that I did a whole heck of a lot better getting every 2 weeks (though it has not induced remission)...I've been on every 2 weeks(full dose) for about a year now...
My Doc and Rheumy researched it, and got it approved for my insurance...woohoo! Just letting you know that it IS possible (I live in the US)...I'm kinda wondering for Cimzia is doing it's own studies (I have to fill out questionnaires every visit, a type of CDAI)

Does everyone have to fill out the CDAI form with every Cimzia injection?

PV - Thank you for posting that! I see my doc next week and, since quitting the 6MP, wasn't sure what to talk to him about with my scheduled time. Maybe I will print that out and bring it to discuss. All of the TNF drugs (for me) needed to be twice as frequent, so I can see how I might benefit from either another induction dose or simply double, like Becoming Undone! (thanks to you too for posting that info... I'm going to see about pursuing two week treatments. Can't hurt, right?

Hi We have been trying to get approval for Cimzia every two weeks for our 21 YO son for the last 3 months. He too has needed double the dose on all the biologic agents for them to continue working. Do you or your physician have any research articles that help to justify the increased dosage? Our sons doctor is in Philadelphia and we could use any help we can get to get the approval passed. We have UHC insurance. Thanks so much.

I also have UHC, and was approved...but I think it was based on some of the studies that were stated here, and again, my GI did a lot of digging around...also he noted how I felt after the "re-induction" and extrapolated that I would do better on this course of treatment...
I think also that BOTH doctors talked to the insurance rep helped a lot (both GI and Rheumy supported it)
I think in the Rheumy world there is also research out there that dividing the dose (you get only one injection vial instead of 2) and then doing it only every 2 weeks works for some patients...but as I had both crohn's and arthritis (and yes, I needed to be doubled on the other biologics) I think this was their reasoning...
