Can anyone shed some light on why my daughter has been given a appointment for a double balloon enteroscopy & wireless capsule ?  She had a resection of her small intestine 5 days ago and touch would it all went well.  The surgeon also had a good look inside at the time and said apart from the nasty bit everything else looked really healthy .  Dont understand yet another procedure under yet another general anaesthetic   mad .  Any ideas guys ?

I would be asking her docs about that since she just had surgery. Doesn't sound right to me. Sounds like something they would have tried BEFORE surgery, not after it. Hugs!

Thats what I thought Nanners ! maybe the letter has been sent before the news of her sugery has fed back. I hope so as she will freak if I tell her .

Yup, yup, unless the reason for such tests make sense to me they don't get done. Hopefully this is just a misunderstanding and prior scheduling and not really in the cards.

I don't think you should tell your daughter anything about it since she just had a resection and it's almost definitely a mistake.

Either way, solve the issue quietly.
A young girl doesn't need any extra stress so soon after major surgery.

Thanks Roni, Didint tell her and managed to pull a dr to one side this morning and your right just a mistake they wouldnt do that procedure after her resection.
