Ugh. If it's not one thing, it's another. Now I'm dealing with constant nausea. I'm taking phenergan and zofran and neither help for any extended period of time. The zofran works long enough so that I can eat a meal, but that's about
it. I just want to sleep all the time because when I'm awake, I'm miserable.
I really hate nausea and would trade it for more bathroom trips if given the option. It got worse after starting the flagyl and cipro, so I'm hoping once I'm done with those (Sunday!), it will improve. Until then, I'm just trying to muddle through the day. I've been off work all week, but I have to return tomorrow.

Oh, but on a bright note, I haven't had to take a pain pill yet today! I've had very little pain, so something is definitely getting better.

Flagyl is causing the sickening nausea, it is one of the side effects, along with a metallic taste in your mouth, dark/cloudy urine, dry mouth, and also causes the D.

I'm sure you'll feel a whole lot better when you come off Flagyl and Cipro. I can't tolerate either!!

I had a horrible time with the flagyl, I'm cipro now and I'm doing fine with that!
I hope the next few days go by fast so you can get some relief and get off the yucky antibiotics. And thats great news you haven't had to take pain meds!

Flagyl was bad for my hubby too - lots of gas and diarrhea, and a metallic taste in mouth. No nausea though. If it continues, get a phone consult with your GI.
Hang in there! It sounds like Cimzia is right around the corner, and also something may be starting to work if the pain is minimal.
(((Hugs)))). I hope you can get some rest and hopefully start Cimzia real soon.

Oh yeah its most definelty the antibiotics. They make me pukey and have horrible diarrhea on them, and I am one who usually suffers with constipation.
Had a co worker's girlfriend on them recently, and she doesn't have Crohns, and they did the same to her.
I never can finish a antibiotic that makes me that sick, to me its just not worth the sick feelings they give me. Big hugs to you!

As far as I remember, flagyl never gave me any trouble. It helps a bit with my D... which usually comes back when I stop it
I get a lot of nausea too, but mine is because of strictures. Hope they fix me when I have my resection in feb.

Flagyl was horrible for me too. Also, when my liver was sick one of the signs for me was nausea. I was on Imuran at the time and stopping it helped. If felt like I had the flu day and night.

I'm so happy that I had to update. I had my first nausea-free day today! It feels so good. I seem to have traded it for pain, but honestly, I'd rather have the pain than the nausea. I really can't stand being nauseous. It makes it hard to function. Today was a good day.

Whoo Hoo! I am with you, I would much rather have pain than nausea. My pain meds always help with the pain, but sometimes the nausea meds don't help enough. At least thats me anyways. Hugs and hope you feel better.
