hi everyone is there anybody out there that could help me i am suffering

from infections in my eyes now i suffer from crohns desease has anyone ever got this complaint

would the crohns be the cause of it yeah

Crohns can appear anywhere and we have had members have eye issues too. I believe they call iritis. So yes, this can be from CD. Hugs!

When I was first diagnosed I had little lumps on my eyeballs! And they stung like a mofo. Felt like someone poured vinegar into them. Thankfully when I started the IV pred almost all my side symptoms went. I could be from your Crohns, is there little lumpy things on them?

I worked in casino for 5 years and lost a total of 25 days of work in those 5 years from pink eye. never had pink eye in life except when I was like 10. but yep we very suscep. to eye infections.

no lumps in eyes just really blood shot and sticky as if there is infections in them but getting them quite regular thanks for the posts guys bk to specisilist the end of feb so i will say it to them

sounds like pink eye, really contagious, I had to use steroid drops, worked fantastic

I have scleritis (as a systemic complication of CD), and it can present itself much like pinkeye or an infection. The only way to tell the difference is a trip to the Ophthalmologist...and sometimes, if it's in the early stages, it's difficult for them to tell the difference, too. I am currently battling scleritis and it's not fun. Certainly not something to mess around with, either. Iritis and scleritis can lead to blindness.

I right now am being treated for eye infections (blepheritis), get them pretty much ongoing.  Have dry eye, get styes, swollen and red eyelids...the eye dr. says it's very common among crohn's patients.

go to the eye doctor. I had a retinal occlusion from crohns. treated with steriods I am now about 100% but it could lead to blindness... I thought i had pinkeye but it turns out it was something worse.
