I am glad it was not a big deal but in the future definately go to the doctor about cyst like things that newly develop with this disease, because it is so hard to know what they are and it could always be some sort of infection (and in this day and age of MRSA) it is not something to wait around on.

GMaister, where are you from? I noticed that you mentioned not knowing what the word for dead vein was in English. I am just curious now about what your first language is? You speak very good English if it is not your first language.
