Yes, and they did not cancel at my primary university, so I am off to go thru 8 inches of snow with ice under that.

No , not really , other than frozen snakes and gators . We have had a fight to keep plants from freezing but I'm not complaining . I mean when I see what all has happened with the snow and the flooding and wildfires I feel lucky. I love to get my cup of coffee and sit on the back porch on a cold morning with freezing rain and think of how glad I am to be retired and not have to work in that crap anymore. Wow, warm is great...

Well we are snowed in here! 18 inches with 3 and 4 foot snow drifts, we can't even get out our front door! Everything is closed pretty much except Walmart and the hospital! So sick of this! My colon really wants the spring and sunshine!!!!

We managed to skirt this last front, only a little ice yesterday morning. Before that I swear it snowed every freaking day since the beginning of December! Funny thing is they could have worse weather in Dallas, TX for Superbowl than here in Pittsburgh....

I'm ready to get out in the garden & play in the dirt. According to Phil spring is just around the corner!

No snow here this winter except for one day of it, keeping my fingers crossed.  :-)

Feeling bad for all the people stuck with snowstorms, floodings, etc.. all over the world right now. sad

It's cold here, so cold that the power company is doing rolling brown-outs because everyone is running their heaters and drawing too much current (!!). We're expecting snow on Friday, which for Houston is a shocker.

I saw that Dallas got hit with snow yesterday too. Gosh what is the world coming to. That monster
storm yesterday really left it's mark. We had 1/2 of icing followed by several inches of snow. Now
the winds are picking up, and I'm so afraid it's going to bring down the heavy laden trees and power lines.
In 2006 we were without power for 2 weeks after an ice storm. I don't want a rerun of that

Yup, we had the third highest snow fall on record for January. My mail box is under about 2 feet of snow at this point. We just got another 20" between yesterday and today, so February is looking to beat the records too. I know I live in New England for a reason, now if someone could just remind me why I would be ever so grateful.

Smiling sheepishly Vicky, you got me!! I live in Southern California and in November and December it was really cold for us and we had record rainfall. Tons of mudslides and flooding.

Today it is cool and windy outside, but will be warming back up to our good Southern California weather by the weekend.

I can't imagine living where you guys do. I think I would be crying with severe joint pain with all your weather. I am a native Southern Californian, and couldn't imagine living anywhere else. My oldest daughter who of course was born here and grew up here, suffers with Fibro and she is in Iowa and poor baby is miserable too. Hugs to you all, I hope Phil is right and spring is just around the corner for you!

On the 'up' side of the winter, when I feel very unwell, it seems right to be wrapped up in a blanky by
the fire. In the summertime I can't draw on that comfort, and believe me, often in the summer months
I would do anything to be near a fire wrapped up. I guess we'll never be happy:)

Digging out up here in NH, but we only got 16" this time! Had the roof shoveled off this pm from the storms yesterday and today. Trying to keep some snow shoveled outside the windows so I can still see outside the house, but it is getting harder to do. Thank God, no sleet or freezing rain but Boston got it. I am going to have a nice hot bowl of homemade chicken noodle soup tonight with crackers and butter and LOTS of noodles. YUM!

I live in wisconsin and over the last 24 hours we got nailed with a huge storm with high winds. Snow totals were anywhere from 15 to 23" of snow. just about everthing was closed as people were digging out from this crap.

Now the cold comes in with temps below zero.

Spring can't come soon enough.

Ours was actual temp. With windchill we were pushing -45. I sure wish I didn't have to go outside for a month or two.

Ivy, they're predicting 1-3" for the Houston area by Friday morning. I'm dumbfounded! We had snow 14 months ago, too, and two years before that. I've lived in Houston for 26 years and besides one light dusting in Feb. '85 it has not snowed here until the last few years.

20 below this morning here too.  Tough time getting that postal truck to start, heck tough getting me started!!  Sun was out and that helps but cold is cold.  Looking forward to tomorrow.  Supposed to warm to 35!
