Remicade withdrawal

So I found a post on here but looking through it, it didn't answer the question I want to ask.

A couple of weeks ago, due to a bad storm and bad management at the hospital, I didn't get my infusion.  I got it rescheduled for 2 weeks later.  about a week after missing my dose, I got really sick really fast.  My question is has anyone ever felt like they had withdrawel from Remicade and if so..what were your symptoms.  I had severe dirharre (sp?), vomiting, chills, headache, and lack of appitite.  It lasted for about 2 days.  Any thoughts from anyone.

Are you better now? I never had any withdrawal symptoms and I stop and started Remicade a few times. The flu has hit its max and a lot of people have been sick with just what you described. If it was just 2 days I would say you had some sort of nasty bug or flu and the timing was just coincidental.

I had my infusion and I am feeling better. It didn't feel like a flare which is why I was leaning towards withdrawal. It is weird because after I got my infusion I was 10000000% times better. Sad thing is, is I don't feel like the Remicade is helping 100% and I keep getting joint pain after the infusion. For the past 4 times it has progressively gotten worse and the last time I had some chest pain (but it felt like muscle and not the heart so I didn't worry). I want to get off Remicade but Humira scares me because I hate needles and the thought of sticking myself (even with the pen) every 2 weeks (and 4xs the first time) really haunts me. I don't know if I can do it. I feel like I am at my wits end with everything.

i am just on Remicade. I have been on pretty much every type of medicine there is and have had bad side affects from all of them. If the immunosuppressants don't work, I then have nothing left to try but clinical trials. The sad thing is that I only have a mild case of Crohn's. My body just doesn't like medicine.
