Predisone Tapering

Is there any medication herbal or prescribed medication that can help with the side effects? I have been stuck at 10mg for awhile now, and I start to taper and am not successful. I think I am having health problems now from the effects of to much cortisol in my system.

My doctor recommended one 1 mg at a time..I made the mistake of heading to 5 mg Mon & Tues..I woke up Wed morning 2:00am and later with severe diarrhea and severe joint pain..I took 7.5 today AM..My doctor says 7.5 mg is needed when your adrenals are asleep..I just feel the high cortisol levels are causing other problems, but my CD is under control at 10mg..I have to take antibiotic combos every so often for the bacteria overgrowth problem still..I take Phenegren for the occasional nausea..I don't have the multitude of pills taken at different times like I did at my worst..I always trying to figure out if it was the meds or this DD..The predisone was effective for the joint pain, and I was really suffering before that with doctor saying only tylenol would work. I feel for those that have the joint pain with this DD..My weight is now a factor, which was not a problem before predisone..My mid section and face are extra round, which it was not this way before! When you are feeling snug in your chair, there is a problem! I never thought I would have this problem at my worst!
