Thanks everyone! My doctor suggested taking Align, Nanners, which I've taken before with a tiny bit of success the time in the way of normalizing my bowels and reducing gas. However, my SIBO was so bad I don't think I could really appreciate much benefit from taking anything really. I started taking it again last night as I had a box laying around the house. I'll research into some other brands, as Align only has 1 billion bacteria in it. I've taken a few strains from Nature's Way previously, Primadophilus and Primadophilus Reuteri come to mind, and some other one that had something like 13 different strains in it. However, that one also had an FOS, which I cannot tolerate and which I believe people with SIBO are supposed to avoid anyhow.
Thanks again for the input! I guess there was a part of me that worried that putting good bacteria back into my system would be detrimental given that any bacteria (good or bad) would make its way back into my small intestine due to whatever underlying dysmotility issues I have re the IBS. Comforting to know that you're keeping yours away with the probiotics! Keep you posted ;)
