Stomach pains from Barium ingestions--Help Please

I had the small bowel series yesterday with barium and fizzing crystals. The abdominal pain started during the testing and was especially bad when I had to lay down. It hurt to even breathe in deeply. I figured it was bloating and gas from the fizzing crystals. I was warned that I might become constipated from the barium, however, I've had several BMs since finishing the test. My lower abdomen still hurts though. I've tried during a lot of water, but it hasn't helped. Has this happened to anyone else? Is there anything I can do to lessen the abdominal pain?

Thanks so much Nanners and ivy6. Did as suggested with the water and feel a bit better. Had a really bad "attack" last night, but today it's starting to feel better. Definitely less abdominal pain. This was the 1st UGI/small bowel series I've had and was surprised at how painful it was, since the doc didn't present it as being such.
