Didn't want to intrude on the hearing loss thread.
I had some vision loss immediately when the symptoms started. From my perspective it seems to only be very close up...can't focus. Everything else seems fine, but I know you can't always tell. Is this something that might revert back WHEN I get to remission? Doesn't really hamper me so I don't want to go do anything prematurely.

It can't hurt to see an eye doctor. There are Crohns side issues that affect the eyes.
For example I have cataracts. I believe I developed them because I have used so many steroids over my many years with this darn disease. Actually seeing an optomitrist next week who is then going to refer me to an opthamologist to have the cataract removed. Hugs!

sometimes the drugs we take affect eyesight - steroids did for me. I agree with Gail that a check up can't hurt :)

I get inflammation in my eyes when I start flare. My eye doctor prescribes me a steroid antibiotic eye drop. When my disease is under control I don't have eye problems.
Sometimes it makes it hard for me to focus, I have crap vision anyways, but every once in a while I have a harder time seeing. It doesn't really effect my vision as much s it just stings.
I would get things checked out just try and rule out anything, just a preventive thing.
Best luck!

i have cataracts that will need to be removed down the road when I am better. I also have behind my right eye an ulcer that blocks my vision and I have to go antibiotic drops for two to three weeks to clear it up. Good luck, Mr.D

Prednisone really messed my vision up this time around, so much so, that I was very wobbly when walking.
Are you taking steroids right now?

I am also noticing vision problems myself. I am currently taking Prednisone for the 2nd time since being diagnosed in Feb. so I will be going to my vision doc. along with talking to my GI.
