Summer in Uk.

Hi everyone, i have a question about my 8 year old son who is on 6mp for crohns. With it coming into summer in the Uk i wondered if factor 30 is high enough suncream to use on my son. We have been told to use sun block because of the immunosuppresant but recently i have read about a child being deficient in vitamin D because of use of sunblock and the mother now uses 30 instead. What do others use? thanks. x

I used factor 30 in Portugal at temps of 27c. I still burnt a little, but I think factor 30 would be ok for the UK

i use factor 30 and i live in the uk. i was at badminton horse trials over the last weekend in the unbelievable sun and i barely burnt at all. It should be fine, just remember to keep reapplying!

I agree I think you will be fine with the 30. I have heard that the creams such as 45 and higher are really just a waste and the 30 is sufficient. Hugs!
