Hi Darren,
I have been suffering from the same since I was your age. I am 40 now. Very difficult for me since I was always a carpenter and now a woodworker. I get hurt all the time from the smallest things. Swinging a hamer for just a few minuites can cause all my fingers, wrist and elbow to hurt for days. Other times it doesn't bother me at all
People don't understand that you are sick. Since they cant see it. They think you are faking or exaggerating. It will make you wonder if it is all in your head. But I know it is not. These autoimmune diseases are multifaceted to say the least.
Basically chronic fatigue with joint and muscle pain. Overheat from mild physical activity. I also sweat allot. Every year the joint pain, fatigue and muscle pain get just a bit worse. I have persued treatment for lyme at least three times with no change in the fatigue and pain department. But is does affect my chrons. Better when on antibiotics then worse once off the antibiotics.
Hang in there you are not alone. So far I have refused to go on biologics (Humera).
I would like if others with these same symptoms would post. Because I would like to rule out. Fibromyalgia and MS (my Mom has MS).
Edit:
I have always taken Asacol. Have also been on Canasa for the past few months. I am just starting a coarse of oral prednisone. Since I have been in a mild rectal flair for the pasts few months that is now getting worse despite the Cansa. Urgency accomponied by mucus and some blood.
James
