I did the 550 km round trip to see doctors in the city yesterday so am a bit tired (and cold) this morning, so have been sitting here catching up on my telephoning.

Done so far:

* booked in for two ultrasounds redface . At $190 each, though I'll get half that back from the govt.
* spent THIRTY MINUTES waiting on hold with the car insurance co to make sure they'd received my payment
* much phoning to and from the computer shop re servicing computer; much searching for upgrades online; then to discover that I am going to need to buy a new computer.


Yet to do: ordering a whole lot of guinea pig food, because I can't buy it locally.


This is turning into a really expensive day. Productive, though.

Geeez, your not made of money either ? My doc thinks I am . Maybe because I poop green . Anyway had a lot of back pain today so did very little at home. Need to make up for that if I can Wed. I am starting to move things up higher in my old shed . Getting ready for the flood waters. If I was a horse they would shoot me and put me out of misery .

Oh, Sniper, are you likely to be hit by those floods? You seem to be hit by one disaster after another there, don't you.

How long until the waters arrive?

My 3pm progress:

* paid more bills
* written letter re the plumber situation that I've been dealing with since at least August last year (as a quick back search on tlc posts shows) and ccd a copy to the solicitors, because I am FED UP with being mucked around!!!

* sorted out health insurance claim.


Better start tidying and doing proper housework now, even if it is cold. *yawn* It's good to get some of that paperwork out of the way, anyway: it's been stressing me.

Hmmm. How about I make a deal with myself: I get to come back here and warm myself up for a few minutes, each time I put away 30 things...

Sniper, i really hope the floods wont hit you too hard, and if i was down the road i'd come down and give you a hand moving stuff.

Wednesday TLC

* Dishes
* change kitty litter
* empty all bins and put in outside bin
* Kelly's missions (!!)
* deal with hotspot growing on living room floor
* start planning my answers to the super scary benefit questionaire

BTW the cats ADORE their new toys!

Good morning all!! Sniper keeping you and your neighbors in my prayers that the flood waters stay away. What a sad situation for so many.

Well I didn't get the errands run as I expected yesterday, but I did get a pedicure which was nice.

Today I will again attempt to do the following:

Stop by healthfood store to stock up on more probiotics
Grocery store for needed items

Not much but enough after working all day for me.

Nanners, I dont know if you ever read the comic strip Li'l Abner but if so maybe you recall the guy they called Joe Blitz. He had a cloud that hung over his head every where he went and people avoided him like the plague . I'm starting to think I have Joe Blitz syndrome ..

Sniper, if only green poop were money. The bathroom remodel it would fund would make HGTV. Hope the floods stay far, far away.

Gail, pedicure is much better than errands. Choc, glad they love their toys. My poor cat needs something new. He thinks the lilacs I brought in before planting time are his special treats. Ivy, good plan on the 30 minute tidy/warm up. Sorry you're still dealing with plumbers muck.

Groceries
Conference call
Mail paperwork
Book a massage :)

I forgot to update. The homemade flowers were a big hit. One popped off its pipecleaner stem in transit, but it's all fixed now.

Pretty quiet her for me, well I say quiet lol. Managed to knock over (without realising) a whole can of woodstain varnish and then stand in it and make lovely prints on dd'd bedroom carpet!! So you can guess what I spent the morning trying to do!!
This afternoon spent doing paperwork and fundraising communications. Needed some info from IBD nurse and he asked how ds was, and it turns out that his crp rate two weeks ago when he was ill was 179 and his 'norm' is 8(poor boy )
Ivy-you need a money tree ;) and maybe a 'plumber' tree too.
Sniper-Flood waters doesn't sound too good and it is a good job that you aren't a horse and were shot because what would we do without you!!
Nanners how nice to have a pedicure. Have you ever(or been tempted) to have one of those fish type ones where you stick your feet in a tank of fish who nibble at your skin?

Inflamed- a massage sounds nice, not that I would know cause I have never had one, it really should be something that I promise myself to try, I guess that I am not really a touchy feely person although must admit that i was sooooooo relaxed after having Hoppi ear candling.

Choc, I still don't see any actual tlc for you there. Are you doing anything fun or nice for yourself?

Those toys found fun, especially the ball that dispenses food :-).

Vixen -- the massage was my Mother's Day present. It's something I'd talk about, but never do otherwise. It's paid for now, so I need only enjoy it.

Thanks Ivy. I'm not sure the massage type. Anything will be nice I'm sure. My mom has dementia, so I've taken on most of her medical appointments. The MRI is for an injury we think she had (she's limping), but she doesn't remember. We're hoping to get to the bottom of it.

That's really tough, Inflamed. I'm sorry about your mother's illness. I hope the scan will be able to find something so the doctors can help her.

tlc's for me.....i play with the cats, i cook, i watch tv and i have my riding lesson on sunday! i do have uber long bubble baths as well, although our boiler is now busted so no hot water currently. I'll have one at the weekend when we're at mum's oh's place.
