Hi neighbor. There has been some posting about bee propolis lately. Some friends brought a bottle of liquid bee propolis back from the US and I used it on warts on my feet. Took awhile but they are completely gone and have been gone for quite some time. In the past they have come back.

Anyway, I know you take it and I am wondering what you take and where you purchase your caps?

Hopefully things are going well with you?

Glad the propolis got rid of your warts (not surprising either)...I started out using liquid form (tastes horrid) for about 2 months then I wnet onto 500mg caps, I buy from puritans pride online...still hanging in there, not full remission but better than before that's for sure.

Briefly checked a few on-line sites. Does Buy 2-get 4 Free for 13.98 plus shipping sound right? Very cheap compared to other supplements I take. Do they come from NY?

I have been doing very well since my surgery 2 years ago but then I felt pretty good before that too. Minor issues but don't know if it is Crohn's related or age? I still take methotrexate and although I have no side effects right now, I do question continuing it (forever)? Who knows what the long terms effects are? I would consider Asacol or something but haven't researched that lately for where my Crohn's is or was? I Know what a lot of peoples views on this forum are on taking maintenance meds but I have questions concerning that as well?

Considering how you are feeling (and I beleive you can't take a lot of the medications), how often do you see your GI and/or have a colonoscopy? I had a colonoscopy in October and was supposed to have a consultation in April but haven't heard anything. Did get a copy of the operative report of the colonoscopy and no active Crohn's at that time. But I did have a couple of polyps removed (opened my eyes at the time and saw that being done). I have had 5-6 colonoscopies in the last few years and never polyps before. Wondering if this means anything? Haven't talked to my GI so question for him as well.

I think the norm with puritans pride is buy 2 get 3 free or buy 1 get 2 free...yes it comes from NY...I see my GI every couple of years, my CD is still affecting my colon and my anus with the perianal crohn's skin tags, taking it one day at a time, been super busy, mom passed away a yr ago end of March, useless family members that I have means I ended up having to take over dealing with the estate (not fun, glad it should soon be over)....none of them have any major health issues and although they all work they still had the nerve to dump the estate matters in my lap but hey, I guess I'm a strong person cuz I've been barreling through it with class which is a lot more than I could say for any of them if they did it (especially since the one sister who was named executrix renounced cuz she just couldn't handle the pressure...whimp) it's been time consuming but it's not like rocket science doing an estate.

Glad you're hanging in there, keep in touch, I still visit the board from time to time.

I commend you for taking over the estate. Probably made more stressful by family members. Settling our Dad's estate was somewhat of an eye opener and now know you better have your i's dotted and your t's crossed in your will. One word, a comma or even a pause in the reading of one paragraph completely changed the interpretation in my Dad's will compared to his previous will. We even got the notes the original lawyer (he has since passed away) took when my Dad changed his will after he remarried. Wouldn't have mattered to us kids if stepmother wasn't involved and know it wan't my Dad's wish but settled and did not want to fight in court. Anyway this is behind us and hopefully I will not lose much more sleep over it. Just a few items left to take care of.

I do check here regularly but don't post much unless I feel I have something to offer.

I hear ya Bammer, it's a long and tough process...one sister has been estranged from the entire family for a good 30+ yrs, she finds out to her surprise that she's in the will, has the nerve to start making threats and demands on who ever is in charge, bad enough the other sister that couldn't take that stress because she lacks major confidence in herself, not to mention not being able to administer a will according to a persons wishes (she decided she'd rather have money than any of mom's household items regardless of the fact that mom stated in the will for all of her household belongings to be distributed fairly and equally amongst the 6 of us, not sold!!!), manages to find a way around it and with another sibling as well as the estranged sibling also preferring to have money and totally disregard mom's wishes is enough to make any normal person sick. Pretty sad when you have to purchase things from your mother's estate because 3 out of 6 people are nothing but money hungry losers. Whatever though, it'll soon be done, just waiting on the chartered accountant to get his butt in gear and finish up with the estate taxes....then the next battle will be trying to get everyone to sign off so this misery can end...obviously the misery is mine with being the administrator.....way I see it is, you reap what you sow, so I know I'm safe but I pity a few of the family members that will at some point get what they have comming to them.
