I have been doing some reading on 6-TG as an alternative to 6-mp. I had an allergic reaction to 6-mp quite a few years ago and always assumed after that this med was off the table. Has anyone had a similiar reaction to 6-mp and then success with 6-TG?

Ive never even heard of 6-TG, I had an allergic reaction to 6mp, I had to be isolated because it messed up my blood counts, I believe it was hemoglobin and hemocrit and I had to get shots monthly and weekly to bring those levels back up. And it brought them dangerously low within only about 2 weeks. But I havent' had a problem with methotrexate, remicade, humira, and others.

Never hear of 6-TG either. Are you in the US? Hmmm....

6-TG is a somewhat related drug to 6MP that they've studied for CD but it comes with quite a few more side effects. It's such a specialized drug that I don't believe it's available in north america but I could be wrong.
