Hi..just checking in after a long absence.

Just wanted to see how everyone is doing. I haven't been on here, just trying to go day to day. My daughter died ten years ago next friday and I just tend to stay quiet.. but all of you have been in my thoughts.

Update on me.. Yesterday the dr finally pulled me off Remicade. All drs feel it has failed me. My bowel issues seem better but my joint pain has not gotten any better. I will start Humira in two weeks and visit with a new rheumy to see if she can help my pain. I no longer take celebrex because it was making me deathly sick, so I just have vicodin which I save for when I can't stand the pain anymore.

Somedays I feel this nightmare will never end. I am scared out of my mind to use Humira but I have to do it.

Hey, June - I'm glad to hear that your bowels are better, sorry that your joints are still hurting. I'm not sure why Humira would be any more frightening than Remicade - I'm glad there's another option out there for you to try.

I hate shots too, but had to do 'em when I was pregnant with gest. diabetes, and now with b12.
It's true about side effects. Everything has potential side effects, even natural remedies.
I hope the Humira works for your joints and keeps your cd at bay too.
