pregnant and needing remicade!!

So, its been a while since I've been on, but I am now 13 weeks pregnant. I chose to hold off on my remicade until after the first trimester was over, so its been 19 weeks since my last infusion. My stomach feels like I'm closing off again and is very uncomfortable. I'm due to get an infusion in 3 days. So my question is this... has anyone gone a long time between treatments and were there any complications? And also, has anyone had remicade while pregnant and was your baby ok??

Go get your remicade, as soon as you can. Your doctor should have informed you that remicade doesn't even cross the placenta until between 30-32 weeks of the pregnancy. Your baby is not at risk from the remicade.

I have two remicade babies and I breastfed both of them while on it too. The remicade molecule is too large to pass through to the milk. My "babies" are now 7 and almost 5 years old. They are healthy & intelligent kids. With #1 I had infusions every 5 weeks all the way through week 35 and with #2 I had infusions every 8 weeks all the way to week 32.

I never stopped my remicade for a long period of time so I don't have any information to offer in that respect. I hope that you and baby are healthy and well and that the remicade helps you feel better!
